So. Hot. It is not even fair. But good news! I am starting to drop weight!
AKA love the heat. The capital was great but I gained like 10lbs! Hashtag never
again.
The weeks are passing by so fast.
Saturday we prestar-ed servico at a menos activas house. We cleaned
out her pila and then haled water from a well. 23 buckets of water and like
10000 blisters. But ni modo, we got some awesome photos.
My area is so beautiful! I love Guatemala. Everyone should get the
chance to conocer aqui. Haha real quick, my compa was turning off the light
yesterday and I remember of when Dad would turn off the light after he help us
say our prayers and we would always say I love you first on the bucket head!
What were we thinking? That didn’t even make sense!
We had an awesome Reunion de Zona last week and we have been putting
in practice all the things we learned. To be honest when it is 8:30 here in
estanzuela, sometimes its just easier to go home. But once we heard that we
should be entering the house cabal at 8:50-9pm, we have chanced our ways. We
are trying really hard to be obedient in the small things.
Last week I was missing some faith but we were able to find an
amazing family! The husband has 80 years and the wife has 60. The assisted the
church in the capital about 8 years ago but when they moved here the lost
contact with the missionaries. We were contacting in an area that we had never
been before and we fond them! They accepted to be baptized and they are so
animated. They have a son with special needs and he is HUGE. Only Berta came to
church with us with her hijo because her esposo was sick. During the sacrament
hymn, the hijo got up and started pulling down his pants to go to the bathroom.
The mom panicked and ran him out of the room. It is really hard for her to move
up and down the stairs. She told us she loves the church but she can’t do it
with her hijo. They left church early. We are praying really hard to find a way
to help them. Poor thing!
Other then that, the heat is picking up here..... That will be
fun!
My companion is doing really well. It is hard to be new and aun mas
en las mananas. She got homesick and started to cry. I remember I cried a least
twice a week when I was new. It was a really nice moment that we had to bond.
We talked about her family and the sacrifices they are making so she can be
here on the mission. I love her!
THE MISSION ROCKS!!!!
OH!!! And the mission rule that we couldn’t drink coke/mnt dew was
lifted!! I dont even like coke but we drank to celebrate.
Remember: To become like Him we need to become more loving and
life-changing teachers. I know that Jesucristo vive!
Love you all!
